Jaye's happy enough to have her toaster back. Even if it does have a face. It's on her desk, nice and silent, while she doodles a plan for world domination in her notebook.

No, seriously. She can doodle. It's not like she's gonna do anything about it. It's just a plan for world domination through slacking anyway.

"...okay, why did you come to Fandom, then?" Rory asked.

"Because... I kinda..." Got arrested once or twice because of my psychosis sounds bad, so she says, "My parents decided I was falling in with a bad crowd. My sister thinks you're all juvenile delinquents."

"I have one of those ankle bracelet thingies," Rory said seriously, pointing to her totally bare ankle. "Anyway. What do you want to be when you grow up?"

She shrugs. "Dunno. Who said I have to grow up?"

"Eh," she says. "Society says a lotta stuff."

"Okay, so no idea?" Rory asked. "Okay, who would you say is your best friend?"

"My friend Mahandra," she says immediately. "She's a good balance to the crazy family."

"Ah, so she doesn't talk to your purse?" Rory asked.

"...No," says Jaye. "She would tell you I don't talk to my purse. Don't make me get the phone."

"I'm good. So," she leaned forward with her elbows on her knees, "what makes you special?"

"I'm not special," Jaye answers evenly.

"I'm not a snowflake. Sorry. Maybe I'm like, evaporated water instead."

"No, and if you don't give me somethinng to work with, I'll make something up."

"That works!" Rory tilted her head. "So. If it was the end of the world, and you had to repopulate with someone here, who would it be?"

Jaye stares at her.

"Did you really just ask that of the girl who's had two breakups since Fe- Oh my god, Hot Mountie hands down."

"Aha, I knew it!" Rory said triumphantly. "Okay, best answer ever. Um, what would you name your offspring?"

Jaye so has no clue. "Um... Steve, Bob and Anastasia?" she shrugs. "Let me focus on the fun part of repopulation."

"So," she said, being kind, "do you have any words of wisdom for my readers?"
