Room 417, Tuesday night

Jaye's working on her metaphor for Criminal Justice class. Diligently, one might add. it would have been done right away, except the plaque bit was used by someone else and now Jaye needs to be creative. That kind of thing is happening a lot to her lately.

She's got a notebook and pen in hand, and is watching disc 2 of Vanessa Saturn for snarky inspiration.

"The principal hates me and I have to run the stupid club fair and now he thinks I run a phone sex line which I don't, but considering he saw the freaking lap dance he probably thinks I have a side job down at the Sin," Jaye says. "And Rory sticks signs on my door."

It's a good thing Jaye shoved the phone under the mattress, otherwise Archie would be looking at it and trying to figure out what orifices, exactly, a phone has that you could use for that.

"I'm not entirely sure he hates you specifically so much as all of us," says Archie. "But how did you get roped into -- wait, what club fair?"

Jaye shrugs, making a sound that should translate to "I don't know," but sounds more like "Uhdunnow!" mixed with a groan. "He called me up and I thought he was my sister so I said something stupid and everything sucks. I'm bratty with a slight touch of emo. Sorry."

Archie reaches over and awkwardly pats Jaye on the shoulder, which is a silly to be awkward about, considering she gave him a lapdance once. "Everything?"

"Not everything," she admits, maybe a little grudgingly, and contact yay!

"I should probably look into joining a club again this semester, since my hat failed to win me enough votes for Student Council." Archie may have forgotten to take his hand off Jaye's shoulder. "Although I suppose I don't really mind losing."

"Yeah, sorry about that," she says, and she's not reminding him of the hand thing. "Know what you want to go out for?"

"Not a clue." And Archie would completely deny that he's inching a little closer. "I was in fencing last semester, and hockey for a bit, but I'm not sure either of those suit me terribly well. Well, fencing perhaps. If you run this fair thing, are you exempt from having to join a club?"

And Jaye's not trying to make her hair less bad or anything, especially since he's already seen it. "Probably not. But I'm a TA and have a job, so I think I'm cool. Or maybe I'll join Deep Thoughts and make faces at the brooders."
