With the door wide open.
And just in case that's incentive for anyone to leave, she put a little box of JGOB pastries on one of the desks. Just to get them all the way into the room.
If anyone needs Jaye, she'll be hiding. No, you don't see her.

Neither of them knew how it was going to turn out. All they knew was that they had to promise each other they could work past this. Charlie was willing. He loved Alanna too much to give up, and he'd been stupid to think that he could just walk away forever.
But if it wasn't forever, then there was a chance.
He buried his face in her hair and hugged her tightly. "I'll come find you. I promise."
