Room 417, Wednesday night

Jaye's got some time to kill before she has to be anywhere, which is why she mentally set out to do laundry and disinfect the room that was probably all germy. However, she ends up looking online for homecoming dresses before getting distracted by a Misguided fic Mahandra linked her to.

Look, opening the door is the same as being disinfecty. Ask anyone.

"Ah." Weiss decided to Not Pry. He was the New Guy (hopefully) and didn't want to mire in Old Guy stuff. "Well, I'm not an open book, but my Cliff's Notes are pretty thorough. Anything else that you Have to Ask? Or let's make it interesting. Quid pro quo."

"Done it, no problem. But okay, so if the two dudes want to kiss, it should be like, known, right?"

"That has to be the dumbest question ever. Sure, yes. They should broadcast it on network television."

"Do you like magic?"

She can deal with that answer, which is almost weird.

"The flying glitter thing a friend of mine did ruled," she says. "Does that count?"

"I don't think I've actually seen it outside of TV," she says. "So I can't really give an opinion."

"Oh. We'll have to fix that, then." Weiss grins. "After extensive hanging out, you will definitely have an opinion. I'm not saying which one, though."

"Good. I walk in with no expectations," she agrees with a smile.

"Very cool," Weiss says. "So. Any other deep, probing questions?"

"Not yet. Give me time, I'll come up with eighty," she promises.

"Fine by me. I gotta head out, because it's getting late, but maybe we can hang out again this weekend?"

"Yeah," she says with a smile. "That'd be cool."

"Consider it a taking-it-slow getting-to-know-you hanging-out, then." Weiss rose from his comfy sit-down on the bed. "And now I gotta go slip into a coma."

"Have fun with that," she tells him. "I'll see you later."

"Later. Night." Weiss ambles off, smiling. Once out the door he'll be grinning like an idiot.
