Room 417, Wednesday after sixth period

Jaye's in a really good mood. Like, really.

She opens the door to her room after class and kicks her shoes off.

She almost says "Buh?"

Instead, she says, "Date?"

He nods and shrugs one shoulders. "You don't have to. I like this as it is. It just... It could be fun."

"Or we could date," she says.

"Uh," it takes a moment to sink in what she just said and then he nods. "We could."

"Does that mean we're going to?"

"I did promise you a dance," Cameron nods.

"I will have to collect on that," she tells him, grinnng again.

"I'm hoping so," he smiles back. "So for reference sake, you're my date?"

"Yeah," she says. "I can deal with that."

"Cool," he slips his arms around her. "And Phil Noir is your OTP?"

She sighs, bumping her head into his shoulder once before looking back at him. "Marty's a crackhead," she says.

"Were those the flags he was talking about in class?" Cameron considers having a talk with Marty.

"I'm assuming. I think he might have gone off the deep end without the Muppet chicken."

"Possibly," he agrees and slides his hands over her back. "So I don't need to go sort out any Phil guys?"

"You can," she says. "I'll just name a bunch of annoying guys Phil. That work?" she asks, clasping her hands around his back.

"Sure, you just draw up a hit list and I'll see what I can do," he bends down and kisses the side of her neck.

She closes her eyes a little at that. "Aw, how sweet."

"I have my moments," he murmurs against her skin and slides his hands down her sides, toying with the edge of her shirt.

"Uh huh," she agrees, and slides one arm up around his shoulders, hand against the back of his head. Maybe dislodging the bandana a tiny bit.

The bandana is really not on his mind right now and he doesn't even notice it slipping off as he's too busy nipping at her neck before moving back to kiss her on the mouth.

And she's happy enough with that for a while, and it isn't until she pulls back a little that she notices something red on his forehead.

Cameron's still oblivious and moves to kiss her again as he slips his hand under the hem of her shirt.

Jaye's half concentrating on that and half trying to move the bandana up.

"What are you doing?" Cameron mumbles as he's not prepared to fully pull back.

"There's something written there..."
