Your mother sounds like my father. I always have the urge to get drunk or jump off tall bridges after I talk with my father.

Not so much fear of driving as fear of ending up lying in a gutter somewhere, singing and having people step over me. I mean, it would happen here, too, but at least I'd be closer to my own bed.

I'm sure there's someone around here who's got some alcohol hidden. Lee's usually a good go to guy but he had to go out of town to see his father. Maybe there's moonshine in the basement? Or is that where the squid is?

If she drives you to drink, doesn't sound like anything's well there. Wish it were the easy. He'd talk me out of pushing him and convince me to jump instead.

I'm not dealing with the squid until I'm already drunk. Or maybe I'll start seeing squids everywhere. Depends on what proof the alcohol is.

You know how you're supposed to be one way and your siblings are all perfect and that way, and you're just not that way and have no desire to be that way but no one gets that? Wear earplugs. Or go to a death metal concert the night before.

It totally get that. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a cafeteria worker because I used to love the chicken patties. My father shot that down, told me to be aeronautical engineer.

Dude, I can't even spell that!

Aeronautics pays more, at least. But I doubt NASA's cafeteria's chicken patties are that good.

Can we have someone magic up some booze or something? I think we both need it.
