Room 417, Thursday night

Newbies have been met. Most of them. Check. Including her Little Brother guy. Check. Not pissed at Archie. Check. And... okay, really that's all she had on her checklist. Tah dah.

She's not really feeling social, though, because when she tried that yesterday she got exhausted and then very nearly had emo. And while she knows about not-boyfriend nearly-stealing ho Parker's party, she doesn't think it's good to bitch someone out on their birthday, so maybe not such a good idea. So for now, she'll just camp out with the rented disc 1 of Vanessa Saturn to play on her computer.

"Oh, I love this show. What's Caritas?" she asked, then paused thinking of the places she'd seen on her trip to town. "Wait, that's the karaoke place?"

"Yep. Surprise birthday party for Parker-who-be-Maureen," nods Jaye. "It's an open invite, if you want to go."

"Really?" Isabel looked intrigued. "That sounds like fun. I don't know where my roommate is and hanging out with just his frog? Not so much fun."

"At least one person is guaranteed to embarrass themself, and for once it won't be me. And," Jaye says happily, "if you have me get your drinks for you, you don't have to pay a thing."

"It sounds like a fun time," she said. "I don't drink. Is that going to be a problem for anyone?"

[occ: Per canon, just a few sips of anything alcoholic makes the Roswell aliens feel like they're plastered. I'm not quite ready to play with this plot point yet.]

"Nah. They usually card anyway," Jaye says. "Don't worry about it."

"Okay, good to know." She looked down at her clothes and considered the fact that she really needed to brush her hair. "I'd better go get changed then. Come get me when you're ready to go?"
