Sharon was in this weekend for the whole parents thing. Besides nearly killing Le French Dude at the hotel when they lost her reservation, she wasn't too embarrassing. Okay, no, that's a total lie. She was in nicotine withdrawal, she called Mr. The Tick a sex fetishist, and she had to sleep on my floor for two nights because she's too good for the hall. Best part had to be when some chick showed up with a camera crew asking about one of the Logans and called Sharon old. Ha! Now I need to meet this Logan guy. I think he's the one who was a bunny. No, really. I told you this place was weird.

Halloween party at Wednesday's (lab partner) place last night. It was pretty cool, except maybe when Callisto got possessed by a ghost and I got to stand there and have no idea of what to do. He seemed nice enough besides that, but leave it to me to meet the ghost all the other ghosts avoid. Oh, and he called me flat-chested.

Jaye sends off the E-mail and closes the window. Tah dah, see how communicative she can be? She opens the door to the room, grabs a bag of Halloween candy and tears it open, and looks for someone interesting to pass by. Anyone uninteresting might have something pelted at them.

"Ow!" exclaims Janet as the Snickers hits her in the arm. Not that it hurts; she just hadn't expected to be pelted with candy. She picked it up off the floor, unwrapped it, and popped it in her mouth. "Yeah, well, looks like they couldn't get all their princess costumes made in time for Disney On Ice."

Something triggers in her memory. "Hey, remember that time we met in the common room?" she asks Jaye. "I had that gift box from my friend, the one with the weird rubber snake. I could have sworn I packed that up and took it back to the room with me, but I can't find it anywhere. You didn't happen to see it that night, did you?"

Jaye grins. "Oh, I like you."

She pauses, wondering where exactly she left it. "Snake? Haven't seen a snake. Nope, sorry. Did the mechanical bunny take it, maybe?"

Janet's answering grin is just a little bit mischevious. "I wonder if there's a chance of putting Disney stickers on the hockey pucks before the next practice?"

"Mechanical bunny?" Janet frowns, confused. "Wait, no, I don't think so. I didn't get a ransom note. Oh, well. It'll turn up eventually, I'm sure."

"Oh, we will find a way," Jaye says, and immediately begins plotting. "All we need is to find where they put the equipment..."

"I'm sure it's somewhere," she adds.

"My roommate's the guy who organized the hockey team," said Janet. "If he's got a key to the equipment room at the rink, we're set."

"Probably," agrees Janet.


OOC: Oh, you realize I'm now contacting Kawalsky to see about the key, right?

"Okay, that works out way too perfectly," Jaye says. "Operation Disney on Ice begins."
