Room 417- The Hyperion- Monday night

This is Jaye. This is Jaye making phone calls. Yes, again.

When she's done (for now, at least), she gets up and goes to her dresser to grab the blank "Welcome to Hollywood!" postcard she'd gotten and hadn't managed to write on yet due to not having anything to say. And she still doesn't. What she ends up writing is

CALL ME!

with her phone number underneath, and then realizing she doesn't have an address for Jarod. So she writes "JAROD" on the address section, hopes the post office can figure out, and doesn't realize that might be a bad idea just in general.

Sam called, prepared to leave a message on Jaye's voicemail.

Instead, Jaye picked up. "Moshi moshi or whatever."

"Does this mean any IDs I might send you have to be in Japanese?"

"If you think I can pass for a Japanese chick I will take all the help I can get," Jaye grins. "How's it going?"

"I'll see what I can do. Getting bored waiting for training to start," she said, hopping up on her counter, "but okay otherwise. Got a cat. How're things with you?"

"Work, work, work, all I do is work," Jaye totally and blantantly lies. "I'm obviously entertained at the moment. You're a cat lady now?"

"One! I just have one! And he's little! I gave the last one away to an alien, so it doesn't count as having two!"

Not that Sam had issues or anything.

"You gave your cat away to an alien?"

"He'd never seen one," Sam sort of explained, "Look, it made sense at the time."

Jaye really, really hopes the alien learned how to take care of something he'd never seen before very fast. "You're a weird girl, Sam," says the worst person on Earth to ever throw stones.

"Says the girl who talks to her purse," Sam teased back. "What's with the Japanese, anyway?"

"So I might have spent a good chunk of my weekend watching Japanese game shows on YouTube," she says. "I learned a new word. And they say you can't learn from the Internet."

"You can, you just have to run it through the Fandom filter," Sam grinned. "Are the game shows any good?"

"No. They're horrible. They hurt themselves on purpose and I've never seen anyone win a prize!" she says. "It's awesome, I will send you links."

"You have my e-mail, right?" So she was wondering if she'd see O'Neill on one of them. Or Teal'c. It happened.

"Well, I had a E-mail address. It's possible I'm spamming the Fandom High server, and if I'm not, I think I owe it to myself to try..."

"Yeah, that's the one I'm using for personal e-mails. Especially since I'm not sure how the interdimensionality of the server works, so it's best to use that one for people from school," she explained. "Plus, that server can take a lot more than it deals with. You're fine."

Jaye frowns on her end of the line. "You know you just ruined my dreams of crashing the server with spam mail, you know."

"You could do it, you'd just need four days and some kind of encryption," she said casually. "Besides, viruses work better for that, I find. Er, hypothetically."

"...I dare you to crash the server," she says, since Sam knows better than she does, apparently.

"What will you give me?" Sam asked, because apparently she was twelve.

"Ummm. You can totally get a serenade from the talky things. Any song you want."

Because Sam could hear them, yes.

"You have to leave it on the answering machine, so I can play it whenever."

"I will not only do that, I will record it on my phone and send it that way," Jaye says. "Deal?"

"Deal." Sadly, she probably already had the virus that could do this, with a bit of tweaking. "No telling anyone it was me, though."
