Room 417, Wednesday all day

Most of Jaye's stuff has been sent back already, but after packing up what she had in all four alcoves of Pixie D (and a goodbye to Aeryn over the alcove walls that was along the lines of "Good riddance!" "Die in a fire!"), it's time to head back to the dorms for the rest, most of which are somehow still stuffed animals. Which might be a sign she has too damn many of them.

At least they're not talking to her. It's hard to pack when you're threatening inanimate objects.

"Just tell me where I'm headed," he says solemnly. "And I'll be there." Alec pauses, brow furrowing. "Don't wait too long?"

"I won't. And anytime you want out, just let me know, okay? I'll kidnap you for a little while," she grins.

He brightens, smiling. "I've never been kidnapped before. Weird to think I'll be looking forward to it."

His grin is sort of lopsided and he can't think of anything to say, so he goes to hug her. She can try and duck, but he moves quick.

She's not only okay with that, she hugs him back harder. "Don't have too much fun without me, okay?" she says, and she is not choking up, nope.

Alec doesn't cry. He really doesn't. But his voice is kind of strained and he's in danger of hugging her a bit too tightly for comfort. "There won't be as much fun without you," he says firmly.

"And tell the vampire with the hair that nothing happens to you or I'll come hunting." And he totally will.

"I will," she says, and if she takes a moment before pulling away, it's totally to give herself time to calm down.

When she does, she gives a strained little smile and has no idea what to say.

He takes a deep breath and smiles, just as strained. "I'm not gonna say it. But. Have a good trip?"

"Thanks," she says. "I'll call when I can."

"Good," he says with a nod, and then beats a hasty retreat, before he says something dumb or hugs her and doesn't let go.
