Room 417, Wednesday afternoon
May. 2nd, 2007 12:31 pmThis would be Jaye on the phone. If she's talking really loudly, it's because someone is singing at her again.
"So we'll be there as soon as we can, but I'm not sure Sharon will be able to make it," says Karen.
"WHAT?"
"Jaye, have you been listening to rock music? I told you you would only damage your hearing."
Jaye steps into the bathroom and closes the door. She can still hear the strains of "Get a Job" through the door. The animals should just not attempt The Offspring. "That's better."
"Good," Karen says. "So we'll see you this weekend."
"...Do you have to?"
"Jaye."
She sighs. "I know."
"Have you made any decisions about what you're going to do yet?"
"I think I'm going to get a job," Jaye says dryly.
"Hm. Well, we'll have a long talk about what you're headed and what we're paying for when we get there," Karen says. "Take care until then, Jaye."
"Bye, Mom," Jaye says, and hangs up.
When she opens the door, she announces, "I SHOULD HAVE LEFT YOU TO THE PINK THING."
[Establishy unless you're really keen on SP.]
