Room 417, Friday morning

Let's get something straight. Jaye is not a motivated person. For instance, her college acceptance letters are still sitting on her desk unopened. She hasn't even looked at them. She really should get on that.

Now that that's out of the way, it's utterly ridiculous that she set her alarm to call Rose just to see if she can wake her up at 4 am and annoy her. Skewed priorities, this girl.

Of course the problem with waking up at ass o'clock in the morning is that it's sometimes hard to get back to sleep. Which sucks, since she doesn't even have classes today. Especially when the stuff that's already there in her head is kind of making her worry, which is stupid and she's got no reason to worry anymore and if it was really her business- which it's not- someone would have said something before. Not that she's worried about something being her business. It's practically her cosmic duty to interfere. Or something.

When it's finally daylight, and a more decent time of the morning, Jaye makes another call, then looks over at the lion to say, "Don't look at me like that."

[Expecting someone, but open if you don't mind SP.]

Alec would maybe do as he was asked and ignore the call if it were any but one of a few people. Jaye's one of them, so he goes to bother her like she told him not to.

He knocks and waits and will totally pick the lock if she doesn't say something.

He does, and closes the door behind him. "Is he a good conversationalist, at least?"

"I say ditch him. You don't need that kind of crap," he says brusquely, waving a hand.

Alec smiles then, trying for cheerful and landing somewhere around hesitant while trying not to fidget. "I'm okay. Mostly," he offers.

He shifts his weight to one foot and back, tilting his head as he thinks. "Like, I'm here, so it's fine now," he says. "Except when I think about it. And then I just kind of want to stop thinking altogether."

"It really sucked," he says, sitting on her bed like he's just remembering it's there. "Let's all try not to get kidnapped by them, ever again."

"I'm glad you weren't," Alec says, but he smiles a little. "I'd feel kind of responsible and that doesn't sit right with me."

[identity profile] x5-alec.livejournal.com 2007-03-31 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
"You really don't have anything to be sorry for," he says. "So, um, don't? That's my advice. Also you should give me a hug."

He grins and hugs her tightly. "This helps," he says quietly.

"Totally," he agrees happily, and squeezes her again before letting go, looking guilty. "I'm sorry I worried you."

[identity profile] x5-alec.livejournal.com 2007-03-31 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
Alec wrinkles his nose. "Yeah, not happening. With the whole 'if I'm lucky they'll just kill me' thing."

[identity profile] x5-alec.livejournal.com 2007-03-31 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
"I really hope not," he says, and it's hard not to feel unsettled at the thought.

"Deformed bunnies are happy?" Alec asks, curious.

[identity profile] x5-alec.livejournal.com 2007-03-31 07:42 am (UTC)(link)
He stares a moment, then grins widely. "Okay, that's awesome."

[identity profile] x5-alec.livejournal.com 2007-03-31 08:00 am (UTC)(link)
"That would be very lame," he agrees solemnly, just before he lies his ass off. "Since I'm not ticklish at all and the deformed bunnies are really really cool."

[identity profile] x5-alec.livejournal.com 2007-03-31 08:22 am (UTC)(link)
Alec certainly doesn't eep, not at all. Except for the part where he does, leaning away from Jaye with a suspicious look. "I said not ticklish."
