Jaye is sitting on her floor, making flags. There is a copious bit of glitter around, because glitter tends to do this. She'll probably get detention, or killed, or something, but it will be totally worth it.

The door's mostly open.

There is an extremely tenative knock on the door.

"Enter!" Jaye calls, and starts trying to blink glitter out of her eye.

Eric enters. "Hey," he says casually. Mock-casually, if you prefer.

"Hey," she says. "Welcome to arts and crafts."

"Glitter. A bold statement," he says.

"It's the only statement," Jaye says. "It's hard to ignore glitter. Especially when it sticks in the carpet as a surprise for the next two people who live in this room."

"Think of it as an added bonus. A benefit of coming after Jaye Tyler," Weiss says. He's avoiding. Good boy.

"Now if only I could make it carry plague, too." She actually is a little sorry she can't. "What's up?"

Please don't start this cliche, dude. "You know how you wanted to just be friends? Well, I kind of just want to be friends," he said. Direct, to the point, aaaaaaaaagh.

On one hand, getting dumped by a guy she's not dating might be a new low. On the other hand, this is also kinda tame now. "Cool," she says. "Hand me the red?"

"You don't want to talk about this or ask me why or anything like that?" He sounds almost disappointed. He also hands her the red.

"We only even really talked like, five times," she says. "Even Cosmo's not so lame to say I should freak out."

"Yeah, I know," Weiss says. "We can still hang out, though, right?"

"You promised bowling and magic tricks. Don't think you're getting out of that so easily," she tells him.

"Very cool," Weiss said. "Great, well. I can't really stay. I have a thing tonight."

"And I have to earn my detention," Jaye says smiling down at her flag. She even pats it a little, getting glitter on her hand. "Have fun."

"If all goes well," Eric says. "Night, Jaye." He's ambling toward the door.

"Later, Eric," Jaye says, pushing her hair out of her face and glittering it.
