All animals have been shoved under the bed. They're trying to sing. Jaye's ignoring them.

"Happy birthday," Veronica says with a grin. "I know I'm a little late, but I was out of town over the weekend. I brought lunch."

"I figured I owed you for shoplifting for me," she says, handing Jaye the Luke's bag which has whatever Jaye would eat. "Which, by the way, thank you, the information you gave me was exactly what I needed."

"Good," she says, and yay food. "Glad it all worked out. Or at least... helped, if it didn't work out."

Jaye tilts her head at the CD, thinking it looks awfully familiar. "I've been wanting this. Thanks," she says.

"So how was California?"

"It was okay. Got to hang out with my dad, which was cool. Ran into some people I'd rather never see again, which wasn't so cool. But I also spent some time in San Francisco with Piper, which was awesome," Veronica says. "How was your birthday?"

"First part not so great, thanks to my little radio bender," she winces. "But the party was pretty cool. I had a good time."

"Yeah, I noticed you didn't look so hot in ACJ on Thursday morning," Veronica says sympathetically. "But your drinking game was kind of funny."

"Well, my philosophy is definitely that it's only a mistake if you don't learn from it," Veronica tells her.

"Depends on if you learned anything. Like maybe take off a few things? Or take smaller drinks?" Veronica suggests.

"At least get rid of that 'three drinks if someone comes back' one. I didn't know three people would show up!" she says.

Veronica chuckled. "That was definitely a bad one." She checked the time. "Well, I have a few things to do before I go to work this evening, so I better get going. I'll see you later."
