Room 417, Sunday morning

The first thing Jaye realizes when she wakes up is that she's not waking up alone. She has no idea if Cameron's awake or not, so she just lays there a minute and kind of marvels that she doesn't feel hoey about this. And debates whether to listen to the radio later or not, ugh. Whatever. Yay flinging.

Trailing a finger along her hairline, he considers it for a moment. "That could be a problem, because I know you had colour last night but right now you're pretty monochrome to me..."

"We've replaced Crunch's normal fling with Folger's crystals. Let's see if he notices." She pauses, and kind of laughs. "Pretend I didn't say that."

"Yes, ma'am." He grins and runs the back of his fingers along her cheek. "You're right, it's kinda weird you calling me Crunch when we're both naked."

She turns over so that she's facing him and reminds him, "Of course, when I called you by your actual name you got weird on me. You see my dilemma?"

He puts a hand on her waist as he settles in just a little bit closer. "You worried me, I thought it was the end of the world or something." Not quiet that, but he's not going to bring up any exes while they're in bed and well... naked.

She leans in a little closer and tells him, "Don't give me that much credit. There's a limit to my destructive capabilities."

"Your world then," he slides his hand to her back. "I just thought something was wrong. I'm getting used to you teasing me."

"Oh, don't worry. I can't not tease," she assures him, though she doesn't really feel like it now. "So... Cameron just when we're naked, then?"

"I can live with that," he grins and normally he'd point out that it's Cam, but for some reason he doesn't right now. "Does that mean you were happy with the flinging and are considering a repeat performance when you're bored?"

"I, um. I definitely think you could make that assumption," she admits. "If you're thinking along those same lines."

The grin broadens, because really that's kinda flattering to his ego. "I might be. Try me?"

"I did that already. And it was good," she smiles.

He chuckles and leans in to kiss her lightly on the lips. "Hmmm, good wouldn't be the word I'd use."

"Definitely wasn't bad," she teases, kissing him again.

Which is exactly what Jaye sees over his shoulder when she pulls back a little. And wow is that disturbing.

"Not exactly how I'd put it either," Cameron says and frowns as she he seems to have lost her attention. He touches a finger to her chin. "You okay?"

"Fine," she says, ignoring the monkey. Really ignoring the monkey. In fact, she puts her head back down on the pillow so she doesn't even have the monkey in her line of vision. Ha. "Better than fine," she adds with another smile.

"Good," he smiles and smooths a hand down her back. "And we're fine too, right?"

"Yeah," she nods, and is kind of impressed by that. She slides an arm over his waist and assures him, "There will be no weirdness."

"Good," he repeats, because it is. "There's going to be enough awkwardness in the weeks to come and I'd like to leave you off that list."

"And I tend to like avoiding the drama, so we're good there," Jaye tells him. "It stresses me out and makes me crabby. It's not pretty."

"No drama," he shakes his head and really he's had his fair share of it by now. "Just this," he says and kisses the crook of her neck.

She closes her eyes and tilts her head a little. "This is good," she sighs. And then mentally kicks herself for saying, "But if we keep this up today we're not getting anything done why did I just say that."

He laughs and stalls for a moment, not wanting to pull back just yet. "What time is it?"

He's making her move where she has to see the lion. She raises her head just enough to look over and not pay attention to any bookends, thank you. "Almost eleven. Dammit."

"Damn," he agrees and plants a kiss on her neck before rolling onto his back.

Jaye turns over again, not moving to get out of bed, though. After a moment, she says, "Sharing the shower means we'll actually get there on time, though."

He turns his head to look at her and grins. "Tempting, I need to change clothes, though." He groans at the thought of clothes and colours and damn, he hates monochromoty and he doesn't care if that's a word or not.

Ugh. Stupid real life. Stupid clothes. "Yeah," she says, and sits up. She keeps the covers in place, though, just because that's what they do on TV.

"Hey," he says quickly and puts his hand on her back because there's still skin there. "I could shower here and drop by my room while we go down?"

She grins and says, "I like that plan better."

Smiling, he sits up too and moves behind her. "Just as long as we don't lose track of time," he slips his arm around her and nips at her shoulder. "Up."

Jaye complies, taking his hand to pull him with her. "Yay."
