Room 417, Saturday morning till about noon

Jaye really doesn't want to go back home, but hey, at least it's only a few days. She's thrown some things in a bag, considers herself packed, and is just kind of waiting till she has to head out.

And she did manage a slapdash kind of Christmas shopping, believe it or not. Okay, okay, most of it is gift cards. Some people were easier to shop for than others, though, so it's not all gift cards.

[I'll be around till tonight if people want to stop by and get presents. If your character's already gone/misses Jaye, she'll get them when she gets back.]

Sam knocked on the door, two packages in her arms, and trying to get her presents handed out before she and Jack left.

"Enter!" Jaye calls, then decides she should probably get up, so she can answer the door herself. "Hi!"

"Merry Christmakwaanzakah!" Sam handed the presents over, and wondered when this became the standard holiday greeting.

Dean knocked on the door. He had a gift bag in one hand and the other he was keeping free in order to steady the kitten that was riding on his shoulder if so needed. "Hey. I'd ask if you're busy but you look decidedly not."

"Yay presents!" she says, taking them. "Merry Chrismawhatever. I've got stuff for you." She heads over to her bed, takes the bag out from under it and fishes out two wrapped presents to give to Sam.

"And then there's this one," she says, "which is kind of a 'hey, look what I found thing' but I had extra wrapping paper."

She looks up and says, "You have a little something right..." And gestures to her own shoulder.

Sam was laughing as soon as she opened them (which, admittedly, took a little while--Sam was a bit anal about wrapping paper). "These are great! And the monkey! I love the space exploration gummy molds, and ooh, blue raspberry."

"I figure the monkey might come to life someday just to change the channels on the TV," she says, and that's the only reason she'd willingly buy something that tells her to do weird things.

She opens hers, giggling a lot. "Yeah, I think we need a party soon," she says. "This is awesome, thanks."

Peter walked up to Jaye's door holding a small box and knocked.

Dean grinned. "That's Hunter," he said, gesturing at the kitten on his shoulder who seemed perfectly content to ride there. "He kinda attached himself to me when I went to pick out Sammy's Christmas puppy."

"Come on in!" Jaye calls. She might not say that if she knew who was on the other side.

"He doesn't have to give him back after Christmas, does he?" she asks, tilting her head at the kitten. She really likes animals a lot more when they don't talk.

Peter - who was NOT wearing the elf outfit he was wearing yesterday - opened the door and stepped in. "Merry Christmas, Jaye!"

Dean chuckled. "I doubt you could pry Scout from Sammy now with a crobar even if you tried. Nope, Scout's his without an expiry date. He's just a Christmas puppy as far as being Sammy's Christmas present this year. And speaking of presents..." He held up the gift bag.

"Ooh, shinies," she says, and digs out a wrapped box. "Tah dah."

She looks at him suspiciously. It's always alarming when he pretends to be normal. "Merry Christmas."

"You're welcome, and maybe when I get back?" Sam didn't know Jaye was going home yet. "Or to welcome the next poor influx of students?"

"I'm heading out of town for a few days tonight, so I just wanted to make sure I gave you your present before I left," Peter said, handing the box over. "I saw it and knew right away that I had to give it to you."

Dean handed over the bag which contained a bag of chocolate, a framed copy of one of the photos he'd taken of Jaye that summer for his class and this (http://www.thisplaceisazoo.com/uploaded/FA62069_LG.jpg).

He laughed when he opened his gift. "Man, I haven't seen one of these in years. Thanks."

Frowning, Jaye opens the box and says, "Oh, wow, it's beautiful, I will treasure it always."

"Remember, if you apply enough pressure to it, you can turn it into diamonds," Peter said.

Alec knocked on Jaye's door.

Jaye goes through the bag, smiling. "You know me so well," she says. She takes another look at the picture and says, "This really did turn out cool. Thanks."

"Maybe as a last hurrah before they get here?" she says. "When are you getting back from where?"

"I like that idea," she nodded, "and Jack and I have a...thing. I have no idea how long it will take, but we leave tomorrow. What about you? What're you doing?"
