Room 417, Monday after fifth period

Jaye's spent about two weeks not wanting much to do with people. However, Jack is the best thing ever, and Jaye's even managed to start messing with people again.

Also there was the hellish TWELVE FREAKING HOUR LONG day at work, and now she's trying to come up with ways she can pay King Dork back for being nice to him.

Look, the door is open and everything.

"You'd love being in Roswell during the Crash Festival then. Tweaking the conspiracy freaks was a townwide past-time." Isabel laughed softly, "Liz would pull out some obscure black and white picture of something alien looking and show it to the people she was waiting on, and then spin this tale about how her grandfather took the picture before the military showed up. She got a whole new perspective on things once she found out the truth."

"Oh absolutely," Isabel laughed. "Although I'd rather see you mess with Max. I think that would be highly entertaining. He can be a little uptight."

"Oh perfect! That way I can rewatch and enjoy when he's being particularly stupid. Which is actually fairly often." She rolled her eyes, "We're only just starting to speak again after his last bout of stupidity.

"Armed robbery," Isabel said with mock cheer. "Just the thing to do when you're trying to keep a low profile."

"Fortunately he got off scot-free. The armed robbery was only an excuse to try and get in to where he thought the government had hidden the ship we crashed in," Isabel explained. "Somehow he managed to talk his way out of it. But it still caused problems, because he's always been a good kid. My folks didn't understand why he did it."

"We've never told them. As far as they know we're two traumatized kids that got abandoned in the desert," she said quietly. "I've wanted to tell them, but I've been outvoted."

Isabel snorted, "You think? And the thing of it is? When we were on Antar? He was the king. My mind boggles at times."

"Unfortunately I can't say. We don't have the memories of our previous lives," she said. "A side effect of the crash I guess."

"I've been pretending the same thing myself. Trust me," Isabel said, shaking her head. "But enough about Max, he makes my head hurt. What do you think of all the new people?"

"Same here, Teddy, Billy, Carmela, Door, Evie, Luke," she said with a sad smile. "I was too busy with goodbyes to really pay attention to the new people. I'll have to change that."

"I met him very, very briefly. But he made an impression on Parker," Isabel snickered. "Pantsless Friday was fun, even if I kept my clothes on. But I still prefer shirtless Friday instead."

"You were surrounded by the pretty," she agreed. "You and Sam were quite lucky."

"Scrawny guys with warts and greasy hair perhaps?" Isabel looked down at the posters, "But I guess I'd better go be a good minion and get these up."

"Tons," she said, heading out the door.
