Jamie happens to be wandering. This time? He has pastries.

He pokes his head into Jaye's room. "Hey. How's it going?"

Jaye leans over to look out the doorway. Huh. Weird.

Jaye frowns at the new guy. "Do I know you?"

"Nope. Jamie Madrox. New guy. Want a muffin?"

"You just wander around offering people muffins?" she asks. "Well, that's one way to get on a person's good side."

"I'm a nice guy. So do you have a name? Or should I make one up for you?"

"That's my job," she says. "I'm Jaye."

"Nice to meet you Jaye. You new too?"

"Nope. I'm an oldbie," she says. "The crazy purse-talker on the radio."

"Oh! I heard you on the other night. You were hilarious. Do you really talk to your purse?"

"No," she says immediately. "People just like saying that. And thank you."

"So what your deal, Jaye? Tell me your life story in 25 words or less."

"Crazy family, escaped relatively sane, going to school here now," she answers.

"Yeah? I can relate to the crazy family thing," Jamie said with a grin. "Anyhow it was nice meeting you. I'll see you around."
