Room 417, Saturday morning

For whatever reason, the animals aren't talking. Maybe they're just as freaked out by wee!Jaye as Jaye would be if she weren't having too much fun being wee. Or maybe they're more freaked out by the fact that Jaye keeps calling them cute.



Jaye toddles over to the phone and after a moment, remembers to push the button that makes the other person talk. "Hi!" she says brightly.

"Hey," says Mahandra. "It's been almost a full week since I talked to you. What the hell."

"What the hell!" agrees Jaye. "Hi, Mahandra! This is Jaye."

"...Yeah, I figured. Are you okay? You sound weird."

"I picked up the phone!"

"..."

"The toaster says hi."

"Hi, Mahandra!" says the toaster.

"See?" Jaye asks.

There's a long pause from Mahandra. "Are you feeling all right?"

"Uh huh! I'm not wearing shoes. I'm not gonna. They're icky."

"Oh, sweetie, tell me you didn't finally snap."

Jaye giggles. "You're funny. Bye!"


She hungs up, or at least thinks she does. Mostly, she forgets to press 'end' and throws the phone down like that'll do it. Give her a break, she's wee. And she spends a little bit debating whether to make the animals have a tea party. And decides that's icky and she doesn't wanna.

She'll go walking around instead.
