Room 417, eaaaaaaarly morning

Jaye would be hungover. This may be a duh for everyone else in school today. Whatever. Ick.

Mentally yelling at her feet for making too much noise on the carpet, Jaye shuffles into the bathroom to brush her tongue free of the cat that seemed to crawl in there and die overnight, and then shuffles back to her bed just to flop onto it. First period class, ugh. Bad. Bad. Seventeen sucks so far.

Cameron's had a busy morning and is now definitely on the wrong floor, balancing a tray stacked with waffles, a glass of orange juice, a cup of coffee, a small bottle of aspirin, an envelope and a small gift. Oh yeah, and a small vase with an easter lily. Definitely been busy.

Not risking dropping everything, he kicks against the door.

The door, which was kind of minimally closed after Jaye got back to the room last night, opens with the kick, and Jaye pulls a pillow over her head.

He waits for a moment, but as there's no answer he pushes it open further with his shoulder and enters the room because he's on a mission.

"Yo birthday girl!" He says as he noticed her on the bed.

She greets him with the universal sign for "shhhhhhh!" Who says you can't learn anything from TV? Thank you, Pals.

"I think you got drunk a day too early," he tells her, lowering his voice. He places the tray on the ground beside the bed and picks up the aspirin and the orange juice before sitting down beside her.

"Come on, I got something for you."

She pulls the pillow off of her head, and looks at him.

He smiles and hands her the aspirin. "This first."

"Yaaaaay," she says, and downs the aspirin, handing him the glass. And lets her head fall back onto the bed. Ow.

Cameron watches her a little while, then reaches out and rubs her knee. "I got food for you too, but only if you think you can hold it down," he pauses and tilts his head. "You alright?" And yes, hemeans more than the hang over.

"Yeah," she says. "Weird week. Give me a minute on the food thing."

"Sure," he says gently and moves to pluck the envelop and the gift from the tray. He places them beside her arm on the bed and waits.

Figuring she should do something, because aww, now that her brain caught up with her, Jaye sits up. Ugh. Bad. "There's stuff," she says, looking at the envelope and gift.

"Yeah, there is." Cameron nods and reaches out to brush her hair from her forehead. And maybe he's also checking to make sure it's just a hangover and she doesn't have a fever.

If she were to open the stuff the envelope would read the following:

We'd like to officially invite you to the 2nd floor common room at 20:00 to celebrate your birthday. All you're required to bring is yourself.

The gift contains a a bracelet.

She does open the envelope first, and thanks every deity ever thought of that it's not someplace like Caritas with the alcohol and omg. But it gets a little smile out of her.

And the present gets a bigger one. "You didn't really have to do anything," she tells him.

He smiles, glad that she seems to like it. "I want to. Happy birthday."

"Thanks," she says, and goes ahead and puts the bracelet on. Not that she has coordination. But.

Cameron watches her, kinda amused at the fumbling. He's kinda too busy watching to come up with anything to say.

She whimpers and holds out her wrist for help.

Chuckling, he helps her get on the bracelet and then sorta forgets to let go of her hand. "Are you going to be alright?"

"Yeah. Go to class, stay nice and hydrated, come back and sleep until the party," she tells him. "All good."

"Sounds like a plan," he agreed and strokes his thumb along the inside of her wrist. "Not a very active one, but still."

"It's my plan. I like it," she says.

"Hmmmm, gimme a call if you need anything?" He asks and presses a kiss to her palm because that's what flings do. Really.

"Yeah," she says. "Thanks again."

"You're welcome," he smiles and lets go of her hand. "Breakfast? Yay or nay?"

"It'll be a very slowly-eaten breakfast, I think," she says, still not sure if she's pro- or anti-breakfast at the moment.

He nods and reaches down to pick up the tray. "I can still throwi t out of the window if necessary," he assures her as he puts it down beside her.

"Nah, it's good," she tells him. Starting to eat. Really slowly.

Cameron nods and sits down on the ground beside the bed to let her eat at her own pace.
