Room 417, Wednesday all day

Most of Jaye's stuff has been sent back already, but after packing up what she had in all four alcoves of Pixie D (and a goodbye to Aeryn over the alcove walls that was along the lines of "Good riddance!" "Die in a fire!"), it's time to head back to the dorms for the rest, most of which are somehow still stuffed animals. Which might be a sign she has too damn many of them.

At least they're not talking to her. It's hard to pack when you're threatening inanimate objects.

"They were sort of a recent acquisition," she says. "I think they have to come along. I just don't want them exploding in my bag."

"Maybe you could just hold the ant farm on your lap," Molly suggested. "Then you'd be sure it wouldn't tip over."

She starts to say something, then, "Plus I'll get funny looks on the bus. Woo."

Molly snickered and walked into the room. "I brought you a going away present," she said.

"You're my favorite person ever this morning," she says. "What'd you bring me?"

Molly pulled her hands out from behind her back. On each hand she had a finger puppet of a squirrel. "I got you some friends to remind you of all the radio shows you did," she said with a happy grin.

If only she knew she was courting death.

Jaye blinks. "It'll be like the squirrels never left," she says.

Except for the part where they will speak to her. In English.

Molly, still grinning, offered the puppets to Jaye. "I thought of you right away when I saw them."

Jaye takes the puppets, eyeing them warily. She's very happy when they don't talk back. "Thanks," she says casually, trying not to set off any weird detectors at getting a present. "Really."

"So, what are your plans now?" Molly asked.

"Going home for my best friend's graduation, and then it's off to LA. I'm going to work for Angel go ahead and make the disbelieving face now."

The face Molly made was more one of shocked surprise. And then she smiled. "I'm going to intern for Angel during second summer term!" she said.

"Score!" says Jaye, who has not at all started wondering if she can't get Molly to do some or all of that pesky phone-answering. "So I'll see you there."

Molly giggled and nodded excitedly. "Yep! So that means I don't have to say goodbye to you!" She stepped forward to give Jaye a hug.

"One less! Yay!" she says, giving Molly a quick hug, because she's not sure she has a choice in this matter anyway.

Molly stepped back. "Do you need any help moving anything?" she asked. "I have to run into town soon, but I could play pack mule for a bit if you need it."
