Jaye got back from Caritas after a few shots in not much time, feeling pretty good about everything. Which was why she picked up her phone when she got to her hotel room.

ring, ring )

So Jaye started making other calls.

The plus was, animals or no, she'd probably sleep tonight. For at least a whole five minutes. Unfortunately she wasn't that drunk.
Jaye was getting her own car already. She'd made that decision the instant she picked up her phone and heard Mahandra ask, "And where were you all weekend? I called four times. Maybe five. I know it was about an entire hands' worth of calling."
cut for phone call! )
Jaye spent her weekend in the 49th century.

Jaye's weekend kicked ass.

So she was more than a little disappointed to have to go back to real life, with its work and- ugh- classes and general Jacklessness. "Sure you don't want to stay?" she asked on the way up to the front door of the hotel. "We could totally get a cool place nearby and be like a buddy comedy."
In the last week, Jaye's said goodbye to Jack, Sam, Kawalsky and Angela. Which is kind of depressing.

On the bright side, it means that she's the last one in the entire D portion of the cabin. Which is why everything she brought with her is now being spread out over the other three alcoves. Just because she can.

She's gonna stop bitching about the cabins now.

[Open if you want!]
So, after it being quiet forever- or at least for a few weeks- Jaye's getting told to make the whole Alanna and Kawalsky thing better, which is not going well. But she got to lick a seahorse, Jarod could always steal a car and Jamie's not a sheep, so all goes well except the pastry-throwing, right?

Before getting into bed, Jaye leans down and looks at the wax lion, pointing at it in what she hopes is a threatening manner. "You sing that song at me again and I keel you. I mean it."

There's silence, so the lights go out, Jaye gets into bed, and just as she's starting to fall asleep, she's really damn sure she hears someone singing "How Do You Talk to an Angel?" really off key.

Which leads to the obvious question: "HOW DO YOU EVEN KNOW THAT SONG?"

[Establishy. Will be a linkdrop later.]
fates_jaye: (yay jaye!)
There is a desk with several kinds of moddable booze on it. There are all the things that go with those seveal kinds of moddable booze, such as cups and shot glasses, because you'd better believe Jaye would have all of that. Also, a few more kinda of snacky things, because nothing goes with alcohol like snacky things.

Also, a fire extinguisher. Because Sam said she'd bring a blowtorch. And Jaye's not that stupid.

Also some more, glitter. It's the Seahorse way. Or, part of it.

[For the Seahorsies, SO's, honorary Seahorsies and little sibs. If you're one of those people, feel free to handwave an invite. Up omg early for time zones and stuff. Also, lookit lookit y'all can see the room! *crams people in there*]
fates_jaye: (yay jaye!)
After returning from the common room, Jaye's camped out in front of E! and lounging on her bed.

There's suddenly a faint popping noise, and that can't be good.

Slowly, she raises her hand in front of her face.

The rest of the fourth floor might hear a shrieked, "I'M 3-DEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!"

[Establishly, la]
There's no shows needing to be downloaded, the common rooms can be scary if you're not in the right mind for it, and it's Jaye's last day of freedom before classes start.

Hm. This calls for a phone conversation.

ring, ring )

[Open, as is the door, though I might be a teensy bit slow.]
Jaye had meant to leave her room. She did. She'd decided she'd seen far too much of America's Next Top Model and needed to leave, but she'd only managed to open the door before she decided she had to know who won the last cycle and whether anyone fell down on the runway.

And now she's stitting cross-legged on the bed, completely unable to leave the room. She's debating popcorn, but the commercial breaks aren't long enough.

[For those days when you're dying to play but just can't handle the CR. Door's open.]
After getting home and stopping in at the lobby to find out what the hell had gone on in this town when she went away for a freaking weekend, Jaye heads back to her room. She drops her bag, deciding to unpack later, then starts getting ready for bed.

And she might leave a quick message before she goes to sleep.
Jaye's been a little on the bored side today. She hung out with Mahandra in the morning, then spent part of her afternoon dodging Sharon and Aaron by hiding out in her room and trying to keep busy. Which works for about five minutes.

Finally she heads back downstairs, where Yvette is supposed to be making faux-Thanksgiving dinner, and the rest of the family is being unhelpful.

not long, but cut anyway )

[NFB, like radio isn't already up. And yes, this should have been up sooner. *has kinna been busy*]
Jaye? Still in bed. And she's not moving anytime soon. Because as much fun as she had last night, and hey, she even met someone awesome out of it even if it does potentially complicate a thing or two, she is never, ever, ever going to be able to drink tequila again.

Maybe she'll move tomorrow.

[So not open.]
Jaye's spent about two weeks not wanting much to do with people. However, Jack is the best thing ever, and Jaye's even managed to start messing with people again.

Also there was the hellish TWELVE FREAKING HOUR LONG day at work, and now she's trying to come up with ways she can pay King Dork back for being nice to him.

Look, the door is open and everything.

It's becoming apparent to Jaye that she's not really getting out enough, save for that little side trip to the Sin the other day which was not for sex purposes thank you, but rather bothering-the-hookers purposes.

If she thinks too hard about that, she might end up putting in a call to Dr. Ron.

But she doesn't wanna, so she's hanging in her room with the door closed and actually reading her spam mail. She really should think too hard about that, because that's a sure sign she needs to get out.

[For he who knows who he is.]
Jaye has left her phone off for most of the day, and kept her door closed. So far she's liking the classes themselves, the TAship is good, and the Media Studies teacher can definitely stay. Of course, between the conversation with Dean and talking with Luke, Jaye hasn't really wanted to deal with people much. She's really liking the idea of a portable Jack right now.

She looks over at the animals lining her desk and says, "You should sing."

They stay silent.

"No. Seriously. Singing right now would be great." She doesn't mention that it would be great because yay distraction. If she does that, they'll just be mean.

And they're still not doing anything.

[Locked to special guests who know who they are.]
Jaye's had an interesting weekend. There was checking on Alec after he ended up in the clinic. And kind of freaked out over that, which she hadn't expected. And then there was saying goodbye to Veronica and "welcoming" the newbies, where she'd gotten to mess with some people, actually talk to some others. And then there was that whole bit where she turned down a guy because of the guy she's already dating, and she got to feel better about it given that Jack's the same way with his situation.

And then there was that whole bit where she found out that the guy she's really been feeling great about is sleeping with his doppleganger.

As soon as Jaye gets to her room, she closes the door and goes for her phone.

ring, ring )
Jaye spends about half an hour just looking at her phone, wishing it would break. In fact, if anyone asks why she hasn't called, that's what she'll say happened. In that case, hello new phone.

Finally, remembering that worse comes to worse, she has phone calls and kidnapping to fall back on, she picks up the phone.

...And gets no answer. Fine. They want her to call, they want to talk to her, and yet they aren't around when she does. Not that she really had anything she was willing to talk about beyond the fashion show and that whole going-to-another-planet thing. Well, fine. She's just not going to call next time. See if she puts forth the effort again.

Jaye? Doesn't realize she's being a brat about it.

Instead, she heads off to the common room. And takes her phone to glare at it.
Jaye's on the bored side, but she already spammed the voicemail of someone who's not even here, and the common room is all the way over there. So, not moving from her splayed position on the bed other than a vague reaching movement, she grabs her phone and dials a number.

ring, ring )

[Door and post is open.]
fates_jaye: (computer)
Jaye steps back into her room, and has to glare at it a little. Stupid dorms.

Once she's unpacked and settled in a little, she opens up her laptop.

typey typey typey )

She hits send, and idly wonders why there are no shirtless boys wandering down the hall. So, fixing this, she goes to her desk, picks up the "Shirtlessness Encouraged" sign, and sticks it on the outside of her door. Yes, she took it. No, you shouldn't be surprised.

[Will be a linkdrop, yes. Door's open.]
